Savannah's connection with animals began as far back as she can remember. Growing up, her family home was a haven for all sorts of creatures. From the unique experience of raising donkeys to the joy of caring for a beloved potbelly pig right on the family land, animals were simply a part of her everyday life. It was clear to everyone around her that her love for animals ran deep. So deep, in fact, that her childhood dream was to become a veterinarian, a testament to her inherent desire to care for creatures great and small.
This passion continued to blossom throughout her academic years. In high school, Savannah was heavily involved in FFA, agriculture, and welding classes, immersing herself in learning more about animal husbandry and care. When she ventured off to college, her two beloved cats were right by her side, a constant source of comfort and companionship. Though a heartbreaking house fire tragically cut short their golden years, their memory only solidified her commitment to providing the best possible care for all pets.
For years, alongside her demanding career in EMS, Savannah nurtured her love for animals as a hobby pet sitter since 2010. She found immense joy and fulfillment in caring for other people's furry family members, a calling that felt as natural as breathing. Then, in 2018, she made a courageous decision. Driven by her profound passion and a desire to make a lasting impact in the lives of pets and their owners, Savannah took a leap of faith. She bravely left her EMS career behind and officially founded Lucky Paws BCS.
